Back in the office after what can only be described as an exceptional week at the INTA Annual Meeting 2026 in London. As someone based in the UK, it was particularly special to welcome the global intellectual property community to our home city for one of the most important gatherings in the IP calendar.
For many years, we have had the privilege of serving as an official media partner of INTA, and over that time, we have built a strong and valued relationship with the organisation and the wider international IP community. A great deal of work goes into delivering an event of this scale each year, and special recognition must go to everyone involved in organising such a professionally executed and globally impactful meeting. One of the reasons INTA remains such an important event is that it brings together every corner of the intellectual property industry under one roof. From law firms and in-house counsel to innovators, technology providers, brand owners, and service professionals, it is one of the few occasions each year where the global IP community can genuinely connect, exchange ideas, and discuss the future direction of the industry.
For us, INTA has also become the platform where we choose to launch new initiatives and publications. This year, we were proud to introduce the inaugural edition of The IP Tech & Innovation Services Annual 2026. The publication was created to provide IP professionals and law firms with greater visibility, guidance, and transparency into the rapidly evolving world of IP technology and innovation services.
Interestingly, the idea for this publication originated during last year’s INTA Annual Meeting in San Diego. After numerous conversations with IP professionals, we noticed a recurring theme: many firms were interested in exploring IP technology solutions but often felt uncertain about what certain platforms actually offered, how they worked in practice, or whether they were relevant to their specific needs. In many cases, professionals were hesitant to engage simply because the technology landscape can sometimes feel overly technical or difficult to navigate.
That conversation stayed with us. We realised there was a genuine need for a dedicated platform that could bridge the gap between technology providers and the wider IP community in a clearer, more accessible, and educational way. The IP Tech & Innovation Services Annual was therefore developed to help professionals better understand the solutions available to them, explore new innovations with confidence, and make informed decisions for their firms and clients.
