Gabriela has over 17 years expertise in the intellectual property field. She is a recognized expert in international trademark law.
She practices in the Intellectual Property Department focusing primarily on trademark, copyright and patent matters, as well as advertising and legal disputes. Ms. Bodden also counsels clients in the selection and registration process of IP rights and their enforcement adding a significantcompetitive advantage to clients portfolios.
She has extensive experience in handling complex international IP portfolios throughout the Latin-American and Caribbean region covering matters such as clearance searches, trade mark filings, prosecution and maintenance of trade marks (renewals, mergers, assignment and recordals of proprietor names and addresses), legal advice in relation to license contracts, franchising contracts, cautionary notices, advising clients on piracy matters and strategies in various countries, initiating and completing opposition actions, law suits and officeactions before the respective Registries and Courts in various countries. Gabriela's experience means that she is able to provide advice with respect to foreign law at a general level, helping clients devise a suitable filing strategy.

Mr. Afamefuna Francis Nwokedi has over 29years of practice experience especially in the areas of intellectual property law. He is the Principal Counsel and Group Head of Stillwaters Law Firm.
Mr. Nwokedi has been involved in several intellectual property (IP) law initiatives, building processes and case law development in Nigeria. He was a member of the Federal Government Committee for the establishment of Intelectual Property Commission in Nigeria, a member of the Nigerian delegation to OHADA (African Association for the Harmonisation and Development of Commercial Law) with particular representation on IP issues, he has worked closely with the Commercial Law Development Programme (CLDP) of the United States Department of Commerce towards the harmonisation and setting up of an IP Commission in Nigeria and currently chairs many IP related initiatives. Mr. Nwokedi is the current Chairman of the IP Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association-Section on Business Law.
Mr. Nwokedi advocates before the trial and appeal courts in Nigeria and has authored and presented several papers on intellectual property law in Nigeria. He is the editor-in-chief of the Nigeria Industrial Property Opposition Reports. He is also a certified Management Consultant and a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants.
